Rainier National Park by heading south from Seattle to the Nisqually entrance to the park.
Continue up a winding and scenic road to the brand new Paradise Jackson Visitor Center.
Depending on the time of year, you'll see an array of mountain wildlife in its natural habitat and Alpine flora blooming into the summer months.
Don't forget to bring a jacket, though - even in the summertime, Mt.
Ranier is cool and breezy, and there's always some snow on the ground at higher elevations.

This was our favorite excursion of our entire trip. Joel, our guide, was knowledgeable and personable. He gave us the option of stopping to get a brown bag lunch before entering the park which saved us both time and money. He helped take pictures when we were out of the bus. We saw all the sights, and we even saw a bear. We also got to experience huckleberry ice cream and Rainier cherries. Both were a treat! Thank you for a great excursion!
Fantastic tour! The guide was very knowledgeable about the area and took us to the most beautiful places. I highly recommend this tour.
This was without a doubt much better than I would have hoped, well worth the money. Our tour guide was very interactive with all that were on his tour vehicle telling us about everything of interest along the way to Mt. Rainer. He stopped at places of interest not actually on the tour list including purchasing lunch before arriving at Mt. Rainer where lunch would have been more expensive. He was great at suggesting different areas for taking the most amazing pictures at different locations. He involved all of us in joking around which while driving which made the day more enjoyable. This was a day that I will remember for the rest of my life.
The tour was great, our guide was very knowledgeable of the area and took stopped at quite a few places we werenﾒt expecting to see all the beauty around Mount Rainier. Mount Rainier showed off too, not a cloud in the sky! We appreciated the guide stopped twice at a local store to let us pick up anything we needed, as many didnﾒt have vehicles in town and headed for a cruise the next day. The only recommendation would be an earlier start time to allow to get in to the park sooner.
What an awesome day! Our guide, Mark, took us to Fred Meyer so that we could get lunch and anything else needed. The drive from the Marriott Sea-Tac was about 2 hours, but we kept the conversation going and had fun. We made lots of stops, saw giant Douglas Fir trees, some marmots basking in the sun, and multiple waterfalls. It was cloudy/foggy at the top, but don't you know it, when we started back down, it cleared up and we were able to see Mt Rainier in all her glory. Highly recommend this tour!
Lucas led our tour! He was so knowledgable and enthusiastic, we really got alot out of it and learned so much. It was a beautiful day and he took us to the most beautiful sights. I would come back and take a tour led by him again.
This tour was amazing! Joe picked us up from the hotel promptly (between 7:30-7:45am), and made us feel welcome. He is so knowledgeable about everything, and super friendly. He let us stop at a grocery store to grab lunch or any snacks, and we had ample restroom stops. The mountain was breathtaking - we would stop frequently to get out and look at the waterfalls, lakes, and scenery. For lunch we had about 1.5 hours to go explore and hike on our own, which was great! We highly recommend!
This day trip was great. Van picked us up at the front of our hotel on time. We enjoyed just sitting back and enjoying the scenery. Know that you go to Paradise Visitors Center. In July, there was still snow on the ground!
This tour was absolutely wonderful. We traveled through Mt. Rainier National Park. The sites were spectacular. We saw Mt. Rainier from different points along with beautiful waterfalls. The morning started out cloudy and once we arrived at Mt. Rainier we had a beautiful blue sunny sky. It was truly a beautiful nature experience. Our guide was very informative and courteous.

Really enjoyed the trip, but would have preferred more stories about the area instead of the drivers attempts at humor. Plenty of stops and ample time for photos. Scenery was amazing. Saturdays in August are to be avoided because of the overcrowding of the park.
Inspiring tour- great guide
The tour to Mt Ranier was fabulous. The guide picked us up in front of the condo we were renting and let us out at another place we wanted to see at the end of the tour. He was so knowledgeable and accommodating and even furnished water for us. He stopped at every lookout so we could take pictures, and he continually educated us on the history of this area. He also served us fresh cold watermelon and stopped at a grocery store so we could buy lunch and not have to pay the higher prices at the lodge. In addition, he took us on an adventure walk through the snow for "a once in a lifetime photo opportunity" of Mt Ranier reflected in Relection Lake. He also pointed out various trees and flowers and told stories about the history and grandeur of Mt Ranier. Superior buy for the money.
This was a terrific excursion for all ages. A long ride to get there for impatient types, but terrific scenery along the route makes up for it. Our guide was as excited as we were and he has been doing this for over 10 years! Beautiful! ! Majestic mountain! Thank you so much! !! We loved it!!
